Unlike filament (FDM) type 3D printers, this resin printer uses UV light that passes through its 4K high resolution LCD screen to cure the resin layer by layer where it is needed. Compared to FDM this method produces a more detailed and smooth print with less visible print layers.  

This Photon Mono 4K is equipped with a 4K resolution 6.23” monochrome LCD to produce detailed models up to 165mm high x 132mm wide x 80mm deep. The 3840 x 2400px resolution LCD provides over 9.2 million pixels and a high 400:1 contrast ratio for 3D models in vivid detail with sharp edges and corners. A powerful light matrix using 15 bright LEDs provides over 90% light uniformity and 27K lux power density to each layer, which makes fast printing up to 50mm per hour possible. The brightness can be adjusted between 30-100% if necessary to help support specialty resins, and a dedicated and replaceable anti-scratch film above the screen itself makes the screen much more durable than rival printers.  

To operate the printer, simply use the ANYCUBIC slicer software to prepare and save the model to the supplied USB thumb drive, which you insert into the USB port on the printer. Use the 2.8” touchscreen to operate and monitor your printer’s progress. 

Other features include quick FEP replacement, UV-blocking top cover, and top cover detection that stops the printing if the cover is removed.
